Welcome to the Most Beautiful Island in the World!

The island of Palawan has been constantly named as the Most Beautiful Island in the World by those who are lucky enough to experience its charm and be spellbound by the island’s rustic, relaxing and romantic vibe.

Enjoying the sunset.

A Travel + Life article even wrote that Palawan is  “the single most beautiful place on earth.”
As a Filipino, having the island as a repeat winner on the list for the second year in a row (2016 and 2017) and having bagged the No.1 spot early 2013, I feel a sense of pride.

Having visited  Palawan myself, I can see what they are all raving about.

While I have yet to visit the five-mile-long underground river, navigating my way through the limestone formation, checking out various island outpost with its magnificent sandbars, its hidden lagoons and turquoise waters is enough for me to say that it indeed is heaven on earth.

Amazing to note that even with the influx of various exploring tourists in Palawan, the islets and lagoons, still is pristine and enticing for most of them to come back since the island have so much more to offer with popular tourist destinations like El Nido, as the base for lagoon and island hopping, and Puerto Princesa, being the capital, and the jump-off point for tours and Coron, for its wreck diving adventures.

Below is the result of T+L World’s Best Awards survey for the World’s Best Islands and their scoring.

10. Bali, Indonesia  :  87.61
9. Hvar and the Dalmatian Islands, Croatia : 87.75

7. Kauai, Hawaii : 88.72
6. Maui, Hawaii : 89.17

3. Boracay Island, Philippines : 89.67
2. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina : 90.83

It is amazing to note that the other islands on the list is indeed breathtakingly magical with what they have to offer and how, our very own island of Palawan, has been the most coveted spot with a big jump on points from the island behind it.

Makes me want to go back there again and fall in love with Palawan all over again.
